Have you ever had fried ice cream balls? They are traditionally made by scooping ice cream into a ball, rolling it in crumbs, freezing it again, and then popping it briefly in the deep fryer. The coating gets crunchy, but the ice cream doesn't melt cause it's not in there long enough. Very cool! However, I don't like deep frying. So, instead of deep frying the ice cream, I added crumbled Bacon to the recipe.
